About The Bike Pedaler

The Bike Pedaler set up shop in the Spring of 2011 in Downtown Dartmouth, Nova Scotia - hometown of the owner, Marc Rickard.  We have been providing Dartmouth and the surrounding community with friendly, knowledgeable bicycle sales and service ever since. The Bike Pedaler provides both new and used bicycles (and parts), and became Nova Scotia's exclusive Brodie dealer within months of opening its doors. Now we've even added Chromag bikes to our Canadian brand lineup. We offer bike rentals, too. Have a friend visiting and looking to hit the road on a quality bike without committing to a big purchase? We can help you out!

With free Wi-Fi, local art of various mediums and a Canadian music policy, the shop is a comfortable space for you and your bike to spend some time. Whether it's mechanical help, riding/touring advise, customization or fitting, our team of personable and experienced staff will try their best to get you what you need. The Bike Pedaler is a BBB accredited business that strives to build the cycling community and make biking more enjoyable and accessible for anyone and everyone. We take pride in supporting various community endeavours involving Christmas Daddies, Storm Soccer, Cole Harbour Heritage Museum, Canadian Mental Health Association, ReachAbility, local schools, hospitals, and daycares among many others. Our community is extremely important to us. We have even partnered with local organizations (such as Clean Nova Scotia) to provide bicycle parking to both their employees and the general community. Drop in any time for free air, oil, and/or advice... or just to catch up if it has been a while since we've seen you!
